The immediate difference I felt on the 7’0″ was an increase in stability. On my first wave I felt speed similar to what the Hyper Nut generates off the bottom, while the top turn felt much more fluid with speed and power over my previous 7’2″.
The 2018 7’2″ was the board I rode to win the World Championship in 2016, so it’s a huge progression that 019 is that much ahead in performance. I’m stoked to compete on it for the upcoming season.” Zane Kekoa Schweitzer
“A short board with a big bite. 7’0″ felt awesome in small to overhead surf. A big upgrade with new rails, you feel the difference immediately. I was able to easily hold my rail with greater control in solid head high conditions. Super fast on the wave, quicker to initiate turns and really fun to whip around with the smaller fins.”-Ollie O’Reilly.
The 7’10” replaced the 8’0″ and was a real favorite among the boards tested the thinned down rails makes it turn on a dime and much easier to sink a relatively large tail outline with ease, making the board maneuver like a much shorter board. The new outline with the slightly wider nose actually increased stability despite being 2″ shorter.
“I was really impressed with the progress made on this 7’2″ & 7’0″: they feel very alive, yet precise in holding the line, and are super easy to redirect as well. A skatey feeling that doesn’t compromise the classical style of riding. Overall super stroked with the result. Also a great feeling with 3.7 fins.”-Franz Orsi.
This board combines short length for precise trim control of the foil with stability from the wide tail and width.
The new 7’5″ generates more speed on the wave, more grip and drive in the bottom turns. All this without loosing lateral and longitudinal stability while paddling: it felt as stable despite being shorter.
A wider range of motion through turns, more control on drops and drive to set up for faster redirections off the top. A twin fin set up with larger front side fins makes a super exciting ride in smaller surf when you really want to push the limit of sliding through turns.
Ultra-stable board that serves a dual purpose: a winner for those learning and needing a stable and wide platform, yet a high-performance and progressive board for heavier riders.
Being the longest in the range, the extra length makes it easier to catch waves with speed, making it easier to get up with less pressure required to get the lift.
This board is ideal for heavier riders, the longer length increases glide and stability to catch waves easily and get up foiling early.
The board was loose if you wanted it to be through turns, yet so easy to push off the bottom with speed and power.
I had so much more fun and excitement generated from the channeled tail & lower volume rails. We surfed until sunset with grinning smiles, it was an easy and obvious winner!” Ollie O’Reilly
“The XL with the added volume from the thickness in the standing area makes for an ultra stable but high performance wave board. The board catches waves easily and is reactive when linking top to bottom turns. At 90 kg this board lets me save energy from the added volume so I can spend longer out in the waves!” Agung Surya Putra
What struck me first was that the board accelerated much quicker on the drop allowing the board to release from the water sooner. This simply allows the rider to starting initiating the turn much sooner and starting to setup for the next move. The earlier speed is then controlled through the top turn with the channel bottom providing more grip so that power can be pushed through the tail. Even though the board is a touch shorter and has lost a couple of litres it feels similar in stability to previous versions.” Marco Gribi
2″ shorter than its previous partner the 8’6″, the thinner rails towards the tail an the shorter outline makes the new 8’4″ much easier to turn and redirect on the wave. For bigger waves the 5.5 front fins will give more bite and hold, in smaller conditions the 3.7″ rear will loosen the ride.
This is a stable short board for riders looking for more progressive surfing in all conditions.
This board is suited for lighter riders that want faster and reactive maneuverability.
Proven hard to beat, the 9’0″ suited for heavier riders delivers speed from the longer length and stability from a wider outline. The new fin set up makes it feel like a different board and guarantees to excite.
84 cm This board is stable and reactive. It helps save energy for surfing with easier turning on the wave.
This nimble little board is the preferred choice for light riders, it accelerates really fast, feels like a little bullet and has amazing stability relative to its size. And yes, this is a very light board to carry around.
The shorter length gives greater maneuverability with easier turning in the surf.
This is the biggest board in the range, designed to have the longest glide and easiest entry into waves. Suited for heavier riders and those who want a stable board to get into wave riding. Features a narrower nose outline to limit catches through the turns.
With the extra stiffness and rigidity from the Airline system coupled with the lightweight technology, this board will make you question a hard board.
This board is suited for riders up to 120kg, the 10’0″ is versatile for cruising, yoga, fitness and surfing small waves. The narrower straighter outline makes it easier to hold the paddle closer, improving tracking & reducing the need to switch sides as often.
This board is designed as the ultimate river racer for riders up to 95 kg. The narrower width makes for an ultra slippery and fast shape. The 10’11”River is slightly shorter than the 11’0” River but significantly narrower at 31” width. This narrowness reduces the surface area, reducing drag and increasing the overall glide and top speed. The wide tail is stable to step back and maneuver, while the pulled in nose is about efficient speed.
This fun compact boards wide tail makes it easy to step back and make quick fun turns. The glide sensation of the very light hull makes it a top choice for riders below 90kg.
